In addition to Dave's extensive education, he has a prestigious career that includes a variety of highly technical and creative positions. As a technical curriculum developer and trainer for Databricks, he produced courses in data science, generative AI, data engineering, and data analysis. Using this content, he trained people from all over the world. His current position is as a principle generative AI course author for Pluralsight. He is always studying the latest developments in AI technology and how it can be used to improve business practices. Previous to these positions, Dave was a college professor and taught adults of all ages. Dave believes in balancing the technical with the creative. He has worked in video production for many years, producing content that includes everything from children's programming, ejection seat tests, journalism, music concerts. and documentaries. 

Finally, Dave loves the St. George community. He currently volunteers his time to setup and mix audio for community events at the St. George Tabernacle. Previous to this, he has volunteered for the St. George Marathon, Huntsman World Senior Games, and the Washington County Fair, along with hosting the television broadcast of the annual Hurricane Peach Days parade. One of his favorite opportunities is annually producing a video news introduction for a class of aspiring journalists at a local elementary school. He also had the opportunity to judge both district-wide and statewide Reflections projects in photography and video production.
